Here's our first (Wirral) door, Kerri.

SCRIPTOR emailed this photo to me earlier in the week.
The photo is from Wirral, Cheshire, England. Scriptor will be able to tell you much more about the area.
The name, Wirral, means Myrtle-corner. It is believed that there was once a great number of Bog Myrtle on the Wirral Peninsula, even though there are very few, today.
Thanks for being a part of our gang, Scriptor. You live in a beautiful area.

  1. Definitely not my neck of the woods. Looks like it's across the pond to me.

  3. the vegetation reminds me a lot of visiting friends in Michigan, or the years I spend in Minnesota. The size of the windows, though, does speak more of the Old Country.

  4. Certainly not Crisfield - but then again,"Fool me once..."

    Looks like Georgia or Tenn.

  5. Hi, it's Jac from Australia. I've decided to bow out of the Shoot Out for quite a while, unfortunately. I just can't get around to it, and 2 fridays out of the month I am away, so you can take my name off the list if you like. Sorry about that. I had a great time, and I'll still be looking around at everyone's photos, I just can't participate.
Thanks so much and happy snapping! :)
    Jac xx

  6. I’m won't be participating in the Shoot Out today. Just back to work and home life after 2 weeks vacation and things have been crazy. Looking forward to having my act together again for next week.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

  7. I was gonna guess that this shot was taken somewhere near Aubiere, France, but then I noticed that Science Girl herself was making guesses, so hmmm. I'm sure I've seen this somewhere.
