Spotlight: The Colors of Early Summer

It was so nice to see what the beginning of summer looks like all over the world. The colors we saw were vibrant and plentiful. We had a lot of contributions, but I want to spotlight three that really stood out to my eye.

We are looking forward to your contributions this coming Friday. It's a scavenger hunt (but a very easy one). Simply shoot 3 images, one sky, one earth and one ground. More in the description after the images.

I really like the wide an open spaces in Dawn's post, as well as the colors of the countryside she showed. The clouds especially are a vision for sore eyes.

There are so many colorful photos in Mascha's post that it was hard to pick just one. But these lovely flowers that are on display in her town's market are wonderful!

I love this, almost futuristic vision of summer, in Gypsy Lala's post from Singapore. These gardens by the bay, are a perfect example of the mixture of nature and civilization.

Our next weekly theme is Scavenger Hunt: High above, Facing Straight and Down Below - Show us these three plains wherever you are. Take a shoot looking up (sky, ceiling, tree branches, etc), then a shot facing straight, and lastly one looking down (earth, grass, floor, etc).

Our weekly spotlighter for the next theme is Peggy

Friday My Town Shoot Out is a group blog kept going by wonderful volunteers who love the idea of sharing our home towns and visiting other places through images. We welcome you to participate in our weekly link-ups and/or get more involved as one of our volunteers.

  1. Thanks for including me; and I really love the other two choices as well!

  2. Great picks. All three deserve the spotlight (by the way, it's a fun idea to spotlight the best posts for each theme).
